Taylor's Talent Show

I am so tired so this will be quick... besides, it would be too hard to put into words what a huge deal it was for Taylor to be on that stage today. I may never understand why she won't talk at all in a one-on-one situation with somebody new or even somebody she's just not entirely comfortable with but she chose to get on stage in front of 1200 of her peers and ROCK IT!! But whatever the reason - I am so glad she had this experience and that she got to hear at least a thousand times today that she did a good job from "every single person in kindergarten and at least half of the teachers". Congratulations Taylor... I am SO proud of you!!

(and a special thanks to my friends from Vidor who choreographed this little act last year for their girls... I'm much better at copying other people's ideas than coming up with it on my own!)

Emily told me last night that her friends Taylor and Clara sang in the talent show and that they were great! She will be excited to see the video. Taylor did great! (When I asked Emily what song they sang, she said she didn't know, but it sounded good...I loved Annie as a kid - I guess I know what movie we need to watch this summer!)

Ummm...that is so cute. I love that song. I was painfully shy as a child (still am sometimes) but never on stage singing! You have got a performer on your hands I think.

That is seriously impressive - she is so brave! My mom said you might be in Utah, so if you have time to hang out we don't leave for Ireland until the 14th and would love to see you!

Amazing that she can get up there and sing with such confidence. That's very promising. I wouldn't have done that at that age. You are a good mom to give her that opportunity.
