Acting Debut

Colby had a speaking part in the 2nd grade musical. I had Avalyn in a backpack and Halle pulling my arm for half of this video - so I'm sorry ahead of time. I tried to splice and edit so you didn't get too much of that but now Colby's voice and mouth don't go together on his part. But I'm too tired to fix it now:) If you're only going to watch a small portion of the video, you have to see Colby's face right after he does his little speaking part. When he realizes the audience finds him funny, he does the most adorable smile!



I forgot to mention that after Colby landed his first acting role, he asked me, "Mom, somebody at school said that if you get really good at plays, that when you are in high school you will get kissing parts. Is that true?"

Birthday Party!!!

Colby had two soccer games bookending his birthday party this afternoon. So needless to say, our day was full. But some flexible, cooperative parents helped me pull off a fantastic party! We had fear of rain and a last minute time and location change, but the party (& the weather) turned out perfect. I will post more about Colby at 8 years old on his actual birthday which is coming up this week. But for now, a few pics from our fun day in the sun.



I know this post needs to be about Colby, but I just have to say that Taylor swam like a FISH today. She was all over the entire pool - even down to the bottom of the deep end - by herself and I am just so excited to have two swimmers now! Yeah Taylor!

Disney on Ice

The kids had a school holiday today so we went to Disney on Ice this morning. The girls got all fancied up. Baba watched Avalyn while the other kids & I enjoyed a little bit of Mickey's Magic.

And she's off...

We caught Avalyn crawling for the first time today. She wanted this red cup BAD. It was so funny to us because by the time we videotapped her, she had already crawled to this cup at least 10 times.

Talent Time
