The Invisible Man

About a week ago, we downloaded some Hannah Montana music onto my IPod for Taylor. Apparently, my IPod was set down and Halle got a hold of it and now it is lost. I have tried so hard to get Halle to tell me where it is and here is how our conversation goes:

Mom: Halle, you will not get in ANY trouble. Please, just tell me where the IPod is. Did you throw it in the trash?

Halle: No mom. I just put it in the refrigerator behind the watermelon - to save it for later.

Mom: Halle, the IPod is not in the refrigerator behind the watermelon. Where else do you think it might be?

Halle: The invisible man took it to the invisible world.

Mom: Where is the invisible world?

Halle: It's invisible mom... you can't see it.

Mom: Well, how can I get my IPod back from the invisible world?

Halle: You just have to become invisible and go to the big pile of IPods in the invisible world.

Mom: If you could see the big pile of IPods, where would it be in our visible world?

Halle: It's just a different world mom. You can't see it unless you are invisible.

etc, etc, etc....

So, we have moved out of our house. Almost everything is completely out and the IPod never showed up. Halle is convinced that the IPod got from the refrigerator into the hands of the invisible man and to the invisible pile of IPods in the invisible world. I've had this conversation with her at least 5 times in the last week and she is sticking to her story. At least she is consistent and creative!

Update

We have been so crazy busy lately... I'm going through a little bit of withdrawals from my facebook, blog, email time!! I should be working on packing up my kitchen, but I'm taking a minute to write a quick update on us. We have moved out of our house and into my in-laws house until we find a house. Hopefully we close early next week on our house here and put an offer next week as well on a home. The kids are having a lot of fun over there because there are cousins staying there right now and so there is always somebody to play with. There is also a lot of land to ride four wheelers and their Barbie jeep and just roam. Peaches (Jared's mom) has grown a huge garden, which has also been fun for the kids. Colby laid down in our bed the first night and said, "Ahhhh! This is a new life for us!"

Tay finished preschool about a week ago and she did a really good job in her program. She has a dance recital next week. Colby finished today. Colby was in the school talent show again this year, playing the theme song from "Star Wars" (he chose this after watching his Uncle Roice play it in an old family video). Colby had awards day today and he won first place in AR (Advanced Reading) points for the entire first grade with 191.5 points and highest average grade in Math for his class. He was really proud of these. Baseball also finished last night... and although he's not up to par with his peers because this was his first year to play... I think Colby has found a new love with baseball. He even gets excited to watch professional baseball on TV. He was very sad that the season ended. Halle is enjoying the changes and seems to be adjusting just fine. Up ahead in the next few weeks... I turn 30 on Wednseday, a week vacation in Tyler, TX with all of Jared's family, my sister-in-law Kami is getting married, swim team practice, swim lessons for the girls, dance recital, Halle turns 3, and finding a house to buy! Whew! I'm tired even thinking about it all.

After I figure out how to get video off of our new video camera, I have a lot of videos to post on here of the kids... it may not be until we are in a new house that it gets done, however.

Full name poll

I haven't received a final 'yes' on any of these names from Jared... but on the sidebar of my blog, you will see the middle names I have picked to go with my first names (that I still can't decide between). All of the middle names are family names from my dad's side. Alexis won the first name poll... I'm curious to see if that name still wins with the middle names attached. Let me know your opinion!
