Summer Fun

We've had a super busy summer and it hasn't slowed down yet! I don't have access to my scrapbooking software, so I am just going to post 1 or 2 pics from some of our activities the last two months...

Colby's Birthday - slumber party & early morning Chuck E. Cheese - can you believe he's SEVEN!

Mother's Day - Colby's class made a sweet video that displayed a page for each child on why they loved their mothers. Colby did not write the typical, "I love my mom because she's nice or because she takes care of me." Colby wrote... "I love my mom because she fighted off my dad so that I could get a puppy named Dozer. He is a shephard mix." The entire room busted out when his picture came up... I loved it! The girls made me a million beautiful cards and Jared gave me an hour long pregnancy message! It was a great mother's day.

Colby's Piano Recital - I'll post a video of his performance of 'Star Wars' at the school talent show after we move to our new house, sometime at the end of July. He played the same song for his recital, but I didn't catch it on video here.
Tay's Preschool Program

Summer Fun Living at Peaches & Pappy Jack's - With so many people around to play with and so much space to roam, my kids are having a blast living with their grandparents.

Crabbing
- Uncle Cory, Jared, & Uncle Ryan took the kids crabbing

Alligator Farm

Dance Recital - Taylor was very particular that she wanted "paper flowers" (silk flowers) for her dance recital because she wanted them to last forever! I"ll post video of her dances after we move:)

Family Reunion
- a week trip to a resort in Tyler, TX with all eleven of the kids in Jared's family, their kids, & his parents. We all had a lot of fun swimming, fishing, at the waterpark, playing games, eating, singing karaoke, participating in a talent show, playing putt putt, and more! Here is a picture of most of the grandkids... we are missing the older ones.

Kami's Wedding -
Congratulations Kami! I sure do have a beautiful sister-in-law!

Halle's Birthday - she's THREE! And we celebrated with all of the cousins the day after Kami got married. Halle has been talking about having a mermaid party for the past 6 months. Her baba bought her "The Little Mermaid" movie & she has memorized the entire song - "Look at this stuff... isn't it neat." It is the most adorable thing you've ever seen. Again, lots of video coming soon:)

Swim Lessons
- Tay can swim! And Halle is no longer afraid of putting her face in the water... she'll go down to the bottom step to pick up toys :-)

Crazy Hair Day at Soccer Camp - Colby has enjoyed the attention he's received for this do!

Our new house...

We have an accepted contract on a home! We expect to close by June 30th. Things we like about it: 2400 sq feet, no backyard neighbors (ranch land), end of a cul-de-sac, brand new inventory home, and we got a good deal b/c they are closing out the subdivision. Here are a few pictures...

Front of house:
Backyard:
Kitchen:
Front entry: upstairs on left is a game room; on right is 2 bedrooms and a bath; nursery & Master are down stairs.

IPod Found...

I have been so crazy busy this week, but I did want to post that earlier this week I finally find my IPod. It turns out Halle was telling the truth. I took all of the food out of my refrigerator and still did not see the IPod. However, when I started to pull each shelf out one by one to clean it really good for the new owners of our house... I spotted the IPod which had fallen back behind one of the middle shelves. It had a ledge the exact size of the IPod. Anyway - if you ever wondered... an IPod can survive in the refrigerator for a week and have no problems. Glad to have it back! And glad to know Halle was doing her best to explain the disappearance of the IPod she left behind the watermelon.
