Surviving Sixteen Miles

I haven't said anything because I didn't want to jinx myself - but the knee injury I wrote about a while back healed enough to start running again after only 2 1/2 weeks. I've continued my training & today was a mileage record for me - I ran 16 miles! I signed up for the San Fransisco Marathon on August 3rd and I am so excited because I think I am actually going to do it! I am sure I'll post a lot more after the actual event - but for now... a 5 week countdown and a picture from after my run this morning...

And, I just liked this picture of Halle... you can see her pretty blue eyes & perfectly placed freckles:)

i'm very impressed...it's hard for me to run 1 mile. 16 just seems impossible! I'm glad your knee healed. Bum knees are no fun. Can't wait to hear how the marathon goes!

That's great that you healed so quickly! I know how upset you were that you weren't able to run. Good luck on the marathon!

I wish I could run that much. I used to run 3 miles a day, but now I probably can't even run a mile. I'm so out of shape. I am so impressed! I'm glad your knee is getting better.
